The capital is primarily used to fund the Gaslini Institute. The Foundation supports the Institute both in its day-to-day needs (from buying equipment and materials to the restoration of buildings and facilities) and in its strategic long-term plans.
The funding is established annually by an agreement between the Foundation and the Institute.
